Sliding Scale

In an effort to align my business practices with my anticapitalist ethics and values, I’ve developed the following sliding scale for clients to choose their own fees for coaching. This sliding scale is on an honor system where you determine what is right for you based on the level of your income and generational wealth. For more information about sliding scales, you can click here.

I’ve mapped out the number of clients I can support at each level. Once that spot is maxed out, I will start a waiting list for that rate. I’m committed to doing my own inner work to separate my value and sense of worth from how much income I generate, and to explore what it feels like to be enough

Below the table are suggestions for how you might determine your rate, and a short FAQ. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Reparative Rate

For those who have financially benefited the most from the current system OR those who are willing to pay more in order to support others in need of coaching. Examples of how financial benefits might show up for you:

  • Someone else paid or pays my rent/mortgage/down payment
  • I have savings, investments, and/or retirement accounts
  • I own or lease a luxury brand car or multiple cars
  • I have or will inherit significant wealth (six-figures or higher)
  • My education and/or experiences were paid for by my parents, grandparents, or other relatives/connections
  • I had access to wealth & gave it away

Note: please select this rate if your coaching is being financially supported by your organization

  • Most people in my family have at least a bachelor’s degree

Frequently Asked Question

Which rate should I choose?

Capitalism has warped our sense of giving and receiving, and so I ask you to examine your instinctive desire to pay less or more, then choose the opposite (this may feel counterintuitive). I say this because I often find that those with more wealth are less willing to pay more, and those with less wealth are often the most generous with their money.

Therefore, If you have financial support systems, earning income, and enjoy privileges based on your social location, I encourage you to pay at a higher rate, to ensure lower rates for those that would otherwise find coaching inaccessible. If you are struggling to pay basic needs, I encourage you to choose the reparations or community supported rate, as a small payment on the debt of generations of exploitation that capitalism and white supremacy has inflicted on you and your ancestors.
